Description |
A study was conducted on the activity of NAD(P)-dependent neutrophilic granulocyte dehydrogenases in patients with widespread purulent peritonitis (WPP) of moderate to severe severity. In the neutrophils of patients with WPP, a decrease in the intensity of glycolysis reactions of the pentose-phosphate pathway is observed independent of the severity. At the same time, the activity of the enzymes of the tricarboxylic acid cycle increases only with severe severity of WPP.
