This article continues the publication of certain parts of the Systematic French-Russian Dictionary of Religious Lexis and contains a dictionary entry cover ing the vocabulary which is necessary to describe practical activity and manifestation of piety of Orthodox believers and French Catholics. It deals specifi cally with actions (e.g. pray, kneel, ask for benediction, light a candle), while terms referring to spiritual movements and states make up a separate entry. The aim is to present the main vocabulary employed in both confessions. In addition to this chapter, the vocabulary pertaining to practical manisfestations of piety will be found in the topics Fasting, Pilgrimage, Charity, Church Sacraments, Church, Prayer, etc.
