The article considers the problems of ensuring national interests of the Russian Federation in the conditions of post-bipolar world and Informatization policy. The authors define the possibilities of international humanitarian law to protect the rights and freedoms of citizens in the regions of wars and armed conflicts. It identifies the transformation of this branch of law, which reduce the ability of the international humanitarian law to effectively discharge their functions. The conclusion about the relationship between the process of Informatization policies and the reduced role of humanitarian law in the system of international relations. Offers recommendations for resolving the problems of application of humanitarian law as a tool of protection of national interests of Russia.
