The results of a study on the use of pharmacoeconomic analysis to justify the rational choice of drug therapy and costs of the program activities for the prevention and treatment of diseases are presented. A comparative analysis of the cost of treatment of liposomal and the traditional forms of doxorubicin was conducted. Justified costs (in terms of drug provision) for realization of the program of prevention and treatment of diseases related to iodine deficiency in children in the Republic of Karachay-Cherkessia (KChR) for 2010—2015, based on the use of «default values» of expenses, received in the result of pharmacoeconomic analysis and prognosis of the disease.
