| Description |
The article is devoted to the relationship between depressive disorders and cardiovascular diseases. According to epidemiological studies, roughly one in five patients with coronary artery disease suffers from depression. The combination of anxiety-depressive disorder and CHD complicates diagnosis and treatment of both diseases and worsens the prognosis. The authors emphasize the need for a differentiated approach to the management of such patients; special attention is given to the treatment of insomnia in patients with CAD.
