The article investigates the legal protection of a national intellectual property abroad, which the authors believe are the most important components of the product and process innovations. In the context of a general analysis of accounting, security and protection of intellectual property in Russia, both within the country and outside it is considered a problem that requires careful attention to the legislative regulation of the development and improvement of equipment, devices for various applications, technologies and materials, including nonmaterial.
