Description |
The modern academic community regards the informational socialization phenomenon to be inseparably linked to the information society development and, particularly, the advance of new information technologies. However, initially socialization rests on communication that is the direct exchange of information among people, but in recent decades the process of information sharing has been implemented mainly through various gadgets. New virtual forms of communication, nevertheless, cannot substitute for the face-to-face information exchange. Moreover, new forms of indirect communication are based on the experience samples that a person gets used to relying on in a direct communication. Therefore, all social and psychological reactions and social and pedagogical effects caused by these reactions extend to processes of informational socialization. This issue is worth considering as through studying social effects of communication we may learn how informational socialization influences social well-being, self-identification and social mentality.
