In the final qualifying work, the process of establishing a system of social services for families with children and children at risk in need of support in the Republic of Uzbekistan is analyzed based on studying the activities of NGOs, the role of the Mahalla as a local government body. The empirical data obtained during a sociological study are analyzed, based on which the problems and trends in the development of the activities of NGOs and mahallas in the Republic of Uzbekistan as institutions of social protection of citizens are identified.
