The article studies the modern state of innovation development of companies in the light industry. It proves importance and priority of the light industry among other branches of economy. It justifies urgency of support of innovation activity of companies of the branch at the state level. It reveals main shortcomings of the state regulation of innovation development of the light industry. It lists regulatory and legal acts that regulate innovation development. It gives a characteristic of main factors that influence development of innovation processes in a state. It assesses dynamics of change of a number of innovation-active companies. It assesses and analyses the structure of sources of financing innovation activity. It studies the mechanism of state regulation of innovation development of the light industry companies. It offers main directions of activation of innovation activity both at the state and company levels.В статье исследовано современное состояние инновационного развития предприятий легкой промышленности. Доказано значимость и приоритетность легкой промышленности среди других отраслей экономики. Обоснована актуальность поддержки инновационной деятельности предприятий отрасли на государственном уровне. Раскрыты главные недостатки государственного регулирования инновационного развития легкой промышленности. Перечисленные нормативно-правовые акты, регулирующие инновационное развитие. Дана характеристика основных факторов, влияющих на развитие инновационных процессов в государстве. Оценена динамика изменения количества инновационно активных предприятий. Оценена и проанализирована структура источников финансирования инновационной деятельности. Исследован механизм государственного регулирования инновационного развития предприятий легкой промышленности. Предложенные основные направления активизации инновационной деятельности, как на государственном уровне, так и на уровне предприятия.
