Objective To investigate the current situation and influencing factors of professional identity, and to explore the correlation between self-efficacy and professional identity of nurse anesthetists, so as to provide theoretical basis for improving professional identity and training excellent nurse anesthetists. Methods Totally 130 nurse anesthetists in Jiangsu province were selected, and surveyed using a general data questionnaire, the General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES) and the nurse's professional identity scale. Results The total score of self-efficacy and professional identity were(28. 15±5. 11) and (115. 33±19. 56), showing a positive correlation between them(P＜0. 01). Hierarchical regression analysis revealed that, after controlling for demographic data, the self-efficacy could explain 23. 2% of the variation in professional identity. Conclusion Hospital managers should improve the self-efficacy of nurse anesthetists, so as to improve the level of professional identity.
