This paper summarized the nursing management of disorder of the venous return from the hand in a hemodialysis patient. The body fluid retention of the patient was evaluated before taking adequate dialysis and surgical treatment. A comprehensive nursing strategy including skin care, internal fistula maintenance, psychological support and health education were carried out. Early intervention and targeted nursing are necessary for symptom relief and postoperative rehabilitation.
