This article reviews the treatment and nursing care of a patient with post-surgical complications of deep neck abscesses (DNAs), including massive hemorrhage and left lower limb arterial embolism. Through surgical intervention, anti-infective therapy, and comprehensive nursing strategies—such as condition monitoring, health education, blood pressure management, and perioperative care—key factors influencing treatment outcomes at various disease stages were analyzed. The case highlights three essential insights: Early and effective control of cervical infections is crucial; Heightened attention is needed for complications of DNAs, particularly in elderly patients with limited health literacy, emphasizing the importance of thrombosis prevention and early detection; Infection patients with comorbidities like hypertension require proactive measures to prevent bleeding and thrombotic complications to achieve optimal outcomes.
