The paper considers main approaches, dIn the preface to his mock-heroic poem «The Stolen fur coats» A. A. Shakhovskoy determined the parameters of this genre form, in this paper we study the works of the text by reference to the poems of German poet K. Wieland «Oberon», the English theorist of classicism A. Poup «Rape of the Lock» mock-heroic V. Maykov's «Elisha, or irritable Bacchus» and «ancient tale» I. Bogdanovich «Dushen'ka» -for compliance with the theoretical postulates of practical embodiment in their rare for Russian poetry genre form.
