The main trends of educational and awareness-raising activities of Nikita Botanical Gardens (NBG) have been reviewed. A new trend of educational activity is participating in Comprehensive educational modules in biology in the International Children's Center “Artek” as a partner organization. NBG personnel is involved in development and implementation of the topical unit using various formats (guided tour; games; research; observation; search, selection, processing and structuring of information) aimed at solving educational tasks. Such resources of NBG as its unique living collections, expositions the Science Museum's depots are actively utilized. The results of the ongoing scientific research in NBG are closely incorporated in the classes. The structure of the classes and approaches to their design have been described.
